Photoperiod...

Slizarus Apr 05, 2004 07:00 PM

Does the photoperiod affect breeding or even just normal life? they're rather dim lights..but to satisfy my grandfather who constantly nags that my lights are the reason that I haven't seen a sign of eggs..I need an answer.. Great thanks to anyone in advance.. Note: They have suitable hides though I need to get a bigger tank because despite the number of hides.. there's always an odd one out.

Does anyone have a picture of a pregnant female's belly? or know's of a book that has one? so far 4 females..they seem to have more girth but otherwise no change.. (Seen ovals but they've been there for a while)

Hi

They don't need any special lighting. Mine just get the natural light that comes in through my bedroom windows.

If you want a light on at night then use a black light or red light to see by.

I think I gave the wrong impression...the geckos are located in my bedroom where there is usually a light on at night..

Just remember that these are nocturnal animals, and they hide in the day time.

Hi

No, you could never bug use.

No, having the lights on wouldn't affect there breeding.

I myself just use a black light on a couple of tanks that way I can still see them at night and the light won't bother them.

Do you leave the male in with the females on a permanent basis?. There is nothing wrong with that, but if you do, then try taking him out for a week and then reintroducing them to see if that would give him a jump start.

Take Care, TLB
