I am currently wanting to breed Boa constrictor sp and do not have the faintest idea of what kinds of conditions they need to do this.

Actually I'm assisting someone who has quite a bit of snake breeding experience, but he has never bred B. contrictor. He has bred various species of Pantherophis and Lampropeltus. Any imput would be appreciated.

Let me tell you what kind of setup we have and you can direct me from there. We housed the snakes seperately. We put them together in a 6ftx18"x24" "mating chamber" which consists of wood shaving substrate (3" thick), a heat block and a heat pad underneath the tank in the area where the heat block is not. There is a waterbowl that is away from the heated areas of the tank. There are no heat lamps. The tank is by a window with plenty of natural sunlight.

I do not have the length of these animals. But I can get those tomorrow. I didn't even think to get the length of both of them, but they are both longer than the tank.
