beckman77 Apr 05, 2004 08:43 PM

I am tring every thing that i can think of about my burm. not eating. I am going to change her bedding tonight. I am using the bark, but i am not happy with it. It seems that she is real dry and dirty on her belly. What kind of bedding should i use??

Newspaper works great, is highly absorbant, is virtually sterile, is easy to change and is in many cases,. FREE. I have a deal with two print media companies locally where I get surplus tonage for nothing.

I second newspaper. It is the best substrate I have used. If not newspaper then Disposable Cage Liners sells rolls or precut liners for most cages. They advertise here on kingsnake. But I would definitely go with some sort of paper substrate. Todd

Newspaper is great! but if you want to be fancy you can buy aspen bedding. i heard somewhere that bark can be a bad thing because when they eat it can get lodged in their throat or mouth. so yeah newspaper or ASPEN bedding. not cedar or pine, those arent good
