The menacing jaws of a baby Crested Gecko...

AnthonyCaponetto Apr 05, 2004 09:40 PM

This little one hatched about an hour ago and it's already got an attitude.

OK...guess that didn't work. Let's try a smile.

Just FYI, this one is from my orange dalmatian female bred to my orange Tiger male. It will lose the red in a few weeks and most likely turn tan and then bright orange like its parents.

Martin,

That one actually had its first shed last night and is beginning to look orange already...but that's not the adult orange color. It's simply the red fading and starting to show the juvenile yellow/tan coloration. It will then turn from tan or yellow into a bright orange Crested Gecko as it nears sexual maturity.

The only reason I know exactly what it will do is because I know what the parents look like and I have hatched babies from them before.

Thanks,
Anthony

That's great! He's ready to defend himself already.
