Hi
Im in the process of getting a Western Hognose, and i would really like an expert on them that i could run a few questions by, and hopefully get a few answers
Im new as a snake owner, but have volunteered for many years at our local zoo so o i have substantial animal knowledge, just limited knowledge on the subject of snakes as pets

I have had my hog for about 8 weeks and she's been very easy--good feeder on f/t pinkies. I keep her in a small sterilite with aspen shavings, a water dish (though have never seen her drink and apparently nobody else ever sees theirs drinking either!) and a human heating pad under half the box to keep the warm end around 85, the cool end around 75. She spends most of her time buried under the aspen. In my opinion they are easy to care for though they can be difficult feeders, though westerns seem better than the other types. also check out www.hognose.com
