Does anyone know a reputable "Uroplatus dealer" in the U.S. that has quality WC or captive hatched/bred animals (specifically U. phantasticus and U. ebenaui)? I have been pondering over keeping a group of a Uroplatus species for over five years, but dealing with mailorder importers has in a way kept me from it. Vendors at most shows within 300 miles of my location virtually only have U. lineatus, U. fimbriatus, and U. henkeli (pet stores out of the question). These are wonderful species as well, only my space to house the animals is limited and I generally make sure all animals have plenty of room. I have generally had good experience with the acclimation of rare/secretive geckos (especially Malagasy species), so I believe I would be able to acclimate the animals as long as they are not 75% gone. I saw what appeared to be some really nice phantasticus being sold on the kingsnake classifieds a few months ago, but missed that chance. Anyways, I am really just looking for an honest "dealer," no matter the scale of operation.
