Maybe they mean green phase as in 'pay me more money'. Some people do refer to money as 'green'.
Sounds like marketing hype to me.

Not all subocs, blonde or normal, have the same ground color, and there are examples out there of ones with a very olive ground color as adults. Whether or not this baby will turn into that I don't know.
At least they post a decent pic of what is being sold so one can make a judgement of the snake no matter what they call it. But yeah, "green phase" is pushing it.
Oh I know that subocs don't all look the same. My blonde female from Ronda Van Winkle is almost orange, while the male looks like a normal blonde.
That doesn't mean that if I ever sell her, I'll call her an "orange phase blonde" to get more money, though.
Thanks for your opinions, guys!
In the fall of '02 I bought a female blonde suboc from Lee Abbott. He had the adults out on display on his table at theTampa Show. They definitely had a very "greenish" cast to them and looked quite different than "normal" blondes. He happened to have the one female for sale so I bought her. She is incredible looking and definitely has a greenish tint to her. People always say "wow, that one looks greenish". It is more of a greenish than an actual green, if that makes sense. I don't think Lee was selling them as 'greenish blondes' or anything but when I asked him about the adults he said something like "yeah, they just have this neat greenish color". But they do look quite different than a normal blonde which I also have. If I had a way to post a photo I would. She's a beautiful animal.
