can adult geckos handle large superworms?

nimmerfroh Apr 06, 2004 02:52 PM

My pet store usually carries average size mealworms or superworms but based on pictures I saw on the following website:

www.superwormfarm.com

it looks like the only ones they currently have are the large superworms. I bought them but I'm wondering now if they're too big for my 8 inch adult female leopard gecko. She's been eating the average sized worms just fine so are these ok?

If you go to that website you can click on the 'superworm' link, then click on 'large' to see a picture.

they can easily handle them. My leo when fed supers generally grabs it, crunches it, and swallows it very easily.

Thank you very much. I'll let her go at them tonight.

if she is in a large cage i would take out all the cage furniture before you put in the supers as they are very good at hiding.
