Just an observation, but given the pictures that you posted on this forum your chuckwallas do not appear to be very happy or healthy. That dark coloration usually implies that they are not being kept warm enough, and the white discharge around the nasal openings means that they are getting too much salt in their diet. Too much, or the wrong kinds, of store bought produce is usually to blame for that. But that's not as alarming as the temperature situation. I can tell just by the type of plants that you have in the enclosure that you're not keeping them any where near warm enough. They need to be kept at a daytime temperature in the upper 80's (at the coolest) if they are to properly digest their meals. A basking spot reaching a temperature of atleast 100 degress is an absolute must. Trust me, your chucks look like they're cold. They'll brighten up once their environment is changed to suit them. And as far as those plants go...bad idea...you animals are bound to be injured by them. Just thought that you should know.
