Bloods probably aren't the best first snakes, but my snake's health is proof that it can be done (I had a blood as my first snake). After you get them make sure their tanks are dark and sequre and leave them alone for a week, except for changing water. Then you can feed them and they should take it. My blood loves rats ten times more then mice, so I would get your snakes on them as soon as possible (assuming that they are young and still on mice). When picking them up don't hesitate just reach in and scoop them up underneath, and when you hold them make sure most of their body is supported.
