Anyone going to the New England Reptile Expo?

iwana Apr 06, 2004 06:53 PM

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone's going to the New England Reptile Expo this week-end in Manchester, NH. Justin and I are going and I thought it would be cool to meet there.

Hi Julie,

Hey, did I ever reply to your email??? Sorry if I didn't, I'll go check. I had every intention of going to the show so I could get some buddies for Gaia (gecko) but I have an ALL DAY CLASS that day! I am so bummed! It goes from 8:30-4:30 and I am about 45 minutes from Manchester - UGH! It's the first day of a 5 session course so I can't miss any of it! It would have been so cool to meet you! I will probably go to the one in September so maybe then. There is also a smaller one in Portland Maine - I think in August. But I know that is quite a bit further and may not be worth the trip. I have not been to that one yet but I think I will go just to see how it is.

If you think of it, let me know what the selection of smaller species day geckos are at this show (gold dust in particular). Then if there weren't many I won't feel so bad that I missed it

Hi Lele,

Bummer that you won't get to make it! I agree, it would have been cool to meet, but we will surely have another opportunity. We will keep an eye out for gold dust geckos, incidentally one of the critters we plan on getting is either a crested or a gargoyle gecko.

I saw crested geckos for the first time while visiting Sonia (anson) Luna's "foster mom" in FL in Dec. They are very cool critters. I have a few empty tanks that I may begin to fill in the warmer months...we'll see

Awww...

I'm still going, with every intention of getting a jax, and maybe a cornsnake or two. And trying not to walk out with one of everything.

Haha, we're probably going to be there early too. We're hoping to find some Nelson's milksnakes and crested or gargoyle geckos.
