An observation: Once you are into reptiles you run out of space real fast........

lucille Apr 06, 2004 07:30 PM

I have been away from reptiles for a while, raising my family. Recently, my son wanted a ball python so I bought him a pair, and it started me in on reptiles agin, I now have several snakes and lizards. Coupled with my existing pets (cat, dog, birds) the house suddenly seems a lot smaller...

heh, i don't know how you guys do it. actually... i don't know how i've held off from getting more than just my corn snake. don't think i haven't looked around. i think my girlfriend has something to do with it, although once i brought my corn home she fell in love. once we get a bigger place its gonna be ridiculous. have fun with all those reptiles.

...It's the "snake room" now. But we never really USED the dining room anyway. Now I spend time in there every day. Yup, the kids love 'em, and that's all the excuse we need!!!! :D

Welcome back!! Isn't it great??? I have 4 snake tanks in my bedroom and want more. I'm trying to figure out a way to make room for more. My sister won't let me have them in any other room. But I'm working on her!

My house looks like a zoo. With 19 snakes, two four foot iguanas, One gecko, and three dogs, the space is GONE. My wife and I are planning to shift things around in the house. Currently the den is where a large portion of the tanks are set up. We already use three rooms of the house for reptiles. Plans are to turn the den in to a bedroom to allow more room for snakes. I've come to the sad conclusion that in order for me to add the corn snakes I want to add this summer, I'm going to have to build a rack system. That should give me the room I need for a little while. Aint it fun!

I was once given an ultimatum by my then-partner; if you want another viv in the lounge, then something else has to go. Guess who came home next day to find himself minus two easy chairs?!

My bedroom is now known as the reptile room.

My workout room is "the herp room" & I'm trying my best to figure out how to add a boa of some type. I just can't figure out where!
