Fat-Tail Sex Determination

ReptileStu Apr 06, 2004 07:59 PM

What's up with the rarity of male fat-tails? What are people trying that is different than with the leopards? Is there a reliable method of incubation to produse males?

I believe sex can be manipulated by temp as in Leo's. I'll find out this year myself. Breeders produce more females because theres more demand and the males that are produced go fast. I had a hard time aquiring my Amel male last year but patience paid off.

I'm having trouble finding a male - I have 2 het for albino females, and was looking for a het male without much luck for quite awhile. I am getting a baby now, that was incubated for male. Keeping my fingers crossed "he" grows up to be a male!
