I have a ten year old female....She is alone. I supervised the two of them to see if they could possibly get along. He was 100% ok with it. She at first started waving her tail at him. this lasted for a few minutes. Then after that she relaxed and he was walking on her head and she was walking past him and they were fine. What do you guys think this means? Do you think he could do ok in there?

I'd say that situation isn't any better...because of the huge size difference the female may think that he's food and try to eat him...which would obviously be bad; even if she doesn't try to eat him, he may not eat. Being so much smaller than the female he may be intimidated and just not eat...which is again a bad thing. I would suggest leaving him with the younger females for awhile until you can get another 10 gallon tank...assuming your age estimate of 1-2 months is correct it will be months before he is sexually mature, so you have some time to get the money for a 10 gallon setup.

-ignorance is not to be punished when one is trying to gain knowledge...what scares me is the vast number of people who, when given the information to gain knowledge, choose to ignore it.

it may work, as long as u supervise then 100%. make she the baby isnt seen as food, or intimidated into not eating. someppl will disagree with me, but in my first year bfor getting on the forum, and learning about quraenteen and that sort of stuff, i put a 4 month old baby in my 3 yr old male. he waved his tale and absolutly nuthing happned. they were compleatly fine. so i say if u can moniter them and make sure nuthing happens then go for it. but if u have one doubt in ur mind it wont work then dont try it.

Christina also has a great idia. id say go with hers, but if the ages are guessed wrong, then u got a second choice.

what is the size of the female? in grams or ounces and the size of the 3-4 month old? in grams or ounces? by the way the post earlier when he was licking himself... he was cleaning his "gear"
