I have had a black blood and a red blood for about a month now. Neither has eaten. Tried live and prekilled. They will strick but it's more of a defensive than kill strike. First time with bloods and just a little lost.

i also have a red blood and a black blood and what i did when my black blood didnt eat is i put him in a tank by himself and he is young so i put him in a 10 gallon tank then i taped newspaper to all 4 sides of the tank so its completely dark and i had a black ight on top so that he gets light but not intense light and so its still dark inside the tank even with light in there and i still had moisture in the tank and a heating pad like you would regularly have and all that was in the tank was a hide box and a bowl of water and i left him in there by himself for about a week til it was the time again to feed him and once i put the mouse in the tank i left him alone and he ate it. so i think it may work for you too and i kept the tank dark all the time so he wouldnt get stressed from anything going on outside of the tank and it worked so hopefully if you try this it will work for you also. i dont know what it is but many ppl's snakes arent eating around this time because my ball python isnt eating, he hasnt eaten in about 2 weeks and i was at a reptile show in my area on sunday and a women there also told me that her ball python isnt eating. i was thinking maybe because its the hibernation period for animals that, that was the reason my ball python isnt eating but the hibernation period is just about over so i dont know why he isnt eating. i hope this method works if you try it with your bloods. good luck
Thanks, I'll tryit. Oddly, the balls aren't having a problem. I have always wondered if that stop eating out of natural cycling for breeding.
