Got this guy a couple of weeks ago, he is a Red Ear Slider. But I wonder if he is a new morph of some kind. Anyone have any opinions?

This looks like an adult male transitioning into being a melanistic slider. Generally it is the males that exhibit this melanistic coloration as they age.
