bad pic of new cage

cosmoboa Apr 07, 2004 01:38 AM

This is the one pic I have of Cosmo's new cage. It has inside cage dimensions of 4ft by 2ft by 2ft and stands about 5ft high with the cabinet base and false ceiling. This cage was built from scratch from a mess of red oak plywood and some red oak pieces all bought at Lowe's. I prefer the look of stained wood but the oak stained dark enough to look good with our bedroom furniture just didn't look good to me. This pic was taken with my phone so the quality is not like the pic in the previous post. I'll post some more pics of the new cage when I learn how to change file sizes of pics.

I am impressed at the quality and time you obviously put into this enclosure. Most people (including myself most of the time) won't put the time that you obviously did into it, and it looks great..Very good furniture quality...

Thanks a lot. Yes, it took a great deal of time and much, much cursing (I'm no carpenter), but my wife is not the biggest snake fan and I knew the cage had to be visually appealing in order to keep her content. As I mentioned previously, I'll post more pics in the next couple of days or so. Here is an old pic of the cage's inhabitant. I'll post newer pics of him as well.

Thanks again. I should have the new pics up soon (in the next day or two) and then I'll post a better description of materials used, heating system, etc.
