Im hoping to get a monitor at a reptile show on the 18th- but need to do research-I cant find a good site that explains differences in the species,or long term care- the more info the better, any help?

I have some info on my husbandry of Ackies, Blackheads, Freckleds, Kimberlies, Black Trees, Emerald Trees, Blue Trees, and Yellow Spotted Trees. Whichever species you decide to get, make sure you buy a captive bred specimen, they will make far better captives with far less headaches. For a first timer, I would recommend an ackie..their small size and calm demeanor is unmatched by any other monitor, or even lizard for that matter-at least in my opinion.. Best of luck to you, watch out for shady dealers who claim their monitors are CB- many of them lie just to make a sale... take care,
