This is the front of my desert iguana Holly's cave. At night when her day lights go out, she goes into her little cave and kicks up all the sand to block the door. She will sleep in there till about 10:00 the next morning. SHe never comes out during the middle of the night. Isn't she a funny little thing?

Mine does it sometimes ! But I know I have seen pics of DVL's outside in the pen, and he has showed up the holes where they go down and come out, and sometimes they have been covered over !

Pretty neat, as if they SHUT the door at bedtime! SMART !

My Desert Igs always "close the door" when they go to sleep, sometimes also when they hide during daytime.

I have four DI'g, my baby will crawl under his rock in late afternoon and push the gravel out to seal his entrance. In the morning after his light comes on he digs his way out to bask in the light. It's cute! Bill.
