They will eat it on their own. You just won't notice them eating it because they typically don't eat until it's dark. You also won't notice much being eaten because they don't eat a large volume of anything, especially something as nutrient dense as CGD. In layman's terms, it's very filling. If you think about how big a 4 month old gecko's stomach is, that also kind of puts things in perspective.
I personally use a mix of Gerber Mixed Fruit Yogurt baby food and Gargoyle Diet. I use the Gargoyle diet because it has higher protein, which I feel balances out the high sugar content of the baby food.
By the way, if you want to see them grow faster, you should be feeding live prey (i.e. crickets) at least 2 times per week.
