I checked on the eggs this morning to find one of them has popped back up and is again completely round and plump. The other one is still dented and now moldy. I had put a moist papertowel over the eggs again last night.

Maybe theres hope for the one egg???

I sounds like the one that firmed up may be ok, if there is no more dent you an take the paper towel out. You can candle it without picking them up, just gently put the light on top of it, in the dark and hopfully it glows pink.
I would move the moldy egg to another container, mold spreads easily.
