My larger BT girl is laying now! Of course I'm out of town again, but my oldest says she's thrown 17!!! And he thinks they all look good!

That actually makes a total of 21 eggs, first 2 were slugs, so still 19!!! I must say that I cannot recall another clutch this size...What's the most you guys have heard of from any Dry??

From a Drymarchon, the most I have heard of was 27 eggs dropped by Don Bordners Big female D. c corais last year, of which I believe 4 were bad. I believe she dropped the same number this year, but all proved infertile.
That has to be one of the largest D. c melanurus clutches I have heard of in recent years though.

Yeah, I could see my big Y/T girl laying 25 or 30 eggs...then hunting the male down and killing him. But Y/T's are quite a bit bigger then B/T's, on average. I think Terry Vandeventer had a Y/T that laid 21 or 22 fertile eggs last year (not sure how many total in the clutch).

Seems like a pretty good year for Dry babies this year...even couperi look promising.

Yes, the YT's are massive snakes, but their eggs tend to be a bit on the smallish side. I have noticed that my smallest rubidus egg is about the size of a typical YT egg. I meant to get some pictures of them last night, but got caught up taking pictures of our first baby of the year. My wife's andalusian finally gave birth to her foal, after 11 months of worry!
