Update pics Gravid Bloodred

Marcel Poots Apr 07, 2004 03:41 PM

My 02 female Bloodred was showing herself today in front of the windows. Now I could take a good look on how many eggs she is carrying. She shed 7 days ago and it looks like I will have eggs soon.

Could you post a pic of your whole zoo there? Looks like you have a bunch of cages & I'd love to see the grouping.

I don't have a pic that shows all cages. I do not have as many cages as you think I have only about 15 corns.. Maybe soon I will get a good shots of the cages.

My corns mated( I think) about 3 weeks ago and I'm not noticing a difference in her appearance yet. She is acting differently though. She now spends the majority of her time on the cool side instead of the hot side. She's out and about a lot more instead of hiding. She also seems a bit more aggressive as she has rattled her tail at me 2 times in the past week after having her almost 2 years and her never doing that before.

All sounds like typical gravid signs. Especially the rattling. Somehow it makes some corns aware of their fulnerability when they are gravid. Some corns however never show signs of being gravid phisically simply because they are so big. Corn eggs are tiny and only small females to have the obvious gravid signs. I have had eggs from huge females that I thought that they looked skinny LOL..

She is a 2002 so she's not huge, about 40 inches and 310 grams. You think I'd see the eggs in her like yours?
