thats mean to the poor anoles!
Come on, these guys gotta eat, why not give them what they would find in the wild, like baby mice go hopping by every day?
I feed mine house geckos as a treat from time to time. I was going to feed anoles also, but there out of season here (KY) and won't be shipping in for a month or so from what i hear. Your right, it is fun to watch! These guys are great predators, and FAST! I have a gecko myself, and have kept rodents as pets in the past, but I don't have any qualms about feeding anything to my tegu. I say this because I read the last post about being mean to anoles. And I agree with you, is it mean to the mice? Tegus eat lizards in nature, so why not in captivity? I think maybe its more for our enjoyment than the tegus though. The only thing I am carful about is making sure I buy parasite free lizards from reputable pet stores.
