Can anyone tell me about the colors (why yellows and red’s) is the color determined by locality? Food? Habitat?

At what age (size) full coloration is achieved? Who’d a dull colored individual remain dull colored as adult?

If colors improve with age, can someone show me a comparative photo of there animal.
