Hey gang, just a general leo update and stuff....

LCGeckos Apr 07, 2004 05:47 PM

I guess I'm feeling a bit lonely these past few days, so I'll post a lengthy message, and hopefully some folks will talk to me for awhile... wow, how pitiful I've become?? LOL. You guys are truely my good friends though, so I don't mind laying some of my junk out on ya, lol.

Well, I took 3 of my leopard geckos today that just weren't fitting into my programs for whatever reason up to a place that I knew they'd be cared for very well and given great new homes. It's not far away so I'll be able to check in on them until they go to their new owners. I've given them a great headstart on a healthy life and I know they'll make someone very happy. It was still hard to watch them go though. How do you current breeders do it?? Watching the babies you've raised leave your house. On a positive note, I got a new SH male from David at Tundra Geckos today. He is amazing... I've named him MonStar. I liked the name monster, because he is the heftiest gecko I own, but I am also a cartoon buff, and if any of you are old enough to remember there was a villan in the old Silverhawks cartoon named MonStar. Anyway, he's great.. and should produce some amazing babies.

Quizno my boa is doing very well. He has responded to his antibiotics, moves around quite a bit and is eating well. So hurray for me and the vet, lol.

I also go a new Hypo cornsnake today. I'm having a bit of trouble coming up with a name. I was thinking of using Fait, but then something about the corny name of Cobb for a cornsnake is lingering with me. If someone could help end this mental debate I'd appreciate it =)

How pittiful, really. Come now, posting because you're lonely?

Kidding with ya man. How's things going? I've had three of my eggs hatch so far, and I haven't had to let any of them go because I just hold onto the ones that I can't "fit into a group" just incase something comes a long! lol

Hope you get to feeling better,

Well, once I get things going and get my rack system built, and get back out of my parents house so that I don't have to cram everything into 1 room then I will probably never let another one go either, lol...

Heh, yeah I live with my parents also (seeing as I'm 16), but I have a whole room dedicated to the geckos. I have huge shelves that I bought at The Home Depot and easily fit 12 10 gallons on them each, and I have two sets, so yeah! Lol

I'm soon (within this year or the beginning of next year) going to buy some racks from Animal Plastics and convert every one of my geckos to the little rubber maid tub - things.

Ugh, had to throw the age in there, yeah yeah, I'm 28, and I live with my parents. Don't ever get divorced Josh, ROFLMAO. On second thought, don't ever get married. Find a nice girl, but don't ever marry her, lol. Anyway the tub idea is great. You get so many in a smaller space and its loads easier seeing which ones aren't adjusting to new foods etc..

Ha ha ha, my 24 year old brother is living with us also, but my dad made him sleep on the couch and wouldn't give him the "Gecko Room"! Hahaha. My brother quit his job, had like $2500 in ticket/warrants for his arrest, and all these other problems. Haha.

And, the marriage thing wouldn't bother me, as long as it's someone I loved. Why'd you get divorced, if you don't mind me asking? And, do you have AIM? Lol

I had one of those *lonely* nights last night. Still pretty much messed up cause of the overnight shifts that i'm up all night and can't keep my eyes open during the day. By 2am i was sitting here thinking, why can't anyone else be online *pout* LOL I remember Silverhawks....what a cartoon that was. I loved the astrology lesson at the end of each episode

I have an entire room dedicated to my geckos and i hope that i won't have to give up many of my hatchlings cause of space. I'm not sure i'll be able to let them go LOL. It'll be hard to do it i'm sure.

I look forward to the day when i have a house all to myself. Yes i'm 27 and still live with my parents and brothers. I've already got a list of where i'd like to have which geckos in my own home Girls in one room, boys in another hehe. And a baby rack all the way down one wall hehehe. Oh the day i get the keys to my own house is going to be the best day
