i have a question about HF's. I know mt horned frog pritty well, but now i'm baffled and confused about HF's burring themselves into thier substrait. Mine usally goes down for about 3-5 days when i first purchased him, and noe he's been down for at leist a week and a half maybe more, i swort of lost count its been so long, but anyway do you think he's okay? Will he starve? He's moist enough i can tell you that and he seems healthy enough. About a week ago He was down for awile to, but i dug him because i thought he would starve and he ate and went into his water dish and the next day bome he was down again!! Could it be strees? thanks for you help!! i'm in need of suggestions!!

You don't need to worry if your HF is burried in the substrate for long periods. I think mine would spend 95% of the rest of its life in the substrate. Also, your frog should come out to eat food when its hungry.

They bury themselves normally; your frog is acting completely normal! Mine will bury himself for sometimes weeks on end. The only thing I'd be concerned with, is your temperatures. I have found that when temps are warmer, the frogs tend to spend more time above ground. But don't be worried about the burying behavior as long as your temps are OK.

And humans are supposed to be the world's most intelligent, civilized, and refined species, eh? Have you ever been in a crowded discount store?

Yeah, Bene is pretty big. I think that he may have topped off now though, since I have not noticed much mroe growth in the past few months. But that's fine with me!
