Hi guys,
Just thought I'd share with you my "newest" snake, Hannibal, an 8 year old, 5.5 foot, 27 pound Borneo blood python. I actually bought Hannibal a few years ago to go with a female borneo I used to own. Unfortunately, I had a lot of things going at that time, plus a lot more snakes then I have now, and I was forced to sell the pair after I'd had them for only a couple years. Hannibal went to a local friend. Well, bloods have pretty much been my favorite snakes since that time, and of course I regretted having to sell them almost every day. And, especially these last few months, I'd been catching blood fever all over again. Well, I've got a bit more time now, and about half the number of animals I used to, so fate decided it was time. I got an e-mail from my friend out of the blue asking if I'd be interested in getting Hannibal back in trade for a few cages I had for sale...perfect timing! Needless to say, I was very enthusiastic, and Hannibal's now "back home." He's an incredible snake, BIG, gorgeous colors, and not the friendliest temperment but I've always had a special relationship with him, and don't have any problems dealing with him. The person I bought Hannibal from originally had kept him and another female borneo in a nearly all screen cage - and not fine mesh screen, but 1/4" hardware cloth... so unfortunately, by the time I got him the whole front of his snout was basically one big mound of scar tissue; there's nothing left of his first couple labial pits (so, if you see some ugly pictures of him, that's why). But he seems no worse for the wear now, and it just gives him character. Besides, chicks dig scares. Anywho, I just wanted to let you know Hannibals, back, and share a few pics with you. Let me know what you think of him,
-Christian-
