Why are rubbermaid self maid cages preffered over aquariums?
I am planning on purchasing a snake and already have a 100 gal aquarium but it seems everyone here is against aquarium setups, why?
thanks

Aquariums tend to require alot more effort to maintain proper temp and humidity, and tend to be more difficult to properly ventilate than rubbermaid containers. These factors are very important because tree boas have very specific husbandry requirements.
Rubbermaids come with their own lids which seal well, helping to maintain temp and humidity, and holes can be easily drilled or burned in whatever area you want. Plus, rubbermaids are pretty inexpensive so they can be easily replaced if you mess up or veniltation needs change, or if the snake outgrows it.
With aquariums, you generally will have to build your own lid to specifications, or do alot of work to seal the lid that comes with it, and aren't as easy to ventilate where needed.
