Not like a GTP would, but yes, they will climb and hang out in trees.

A friend of mines retic spends time in the branches of her cage much like a chondro. I believe babies do spend alot of time in the trees.

I had a retic many years ago that would climb incessantly as a juvenile. I had a light fixture in the cage, and she climbed up on that light and stayed there all the time. She even wrapped herself around the light much like a green tree python or an emerald tree boa would do. It was actually quite beautiful to see her up there. As she matured, she quit climbing. She feasted on birds -- wouldn't eat mammals after taking a nasty bite from a rat. She always would eat chickens, quail and rats. But after the rat got her, she only ate chickens and quail. Ate one dead rabbit in her life, and apparently that didn't do much for her. So she climbed and enjoyed birds.
