Knob doesn't want to eat

apfjavi Jun 13, 2003 01:49 PM

This is my first snake and she was eating just fine up until this week. She won't take any pinkies (thawed) that I give to her and she won't eat live one's either. She was a very good eater up until now. Is that normal? I haven't changed anything in her tank and the temp seems to be fine. She struck at the food yesturday but then spit it back up. She's only a yearling. Any input?
thanks!

How long have you had her? Is it possible she's in her shed cycle? In these situations it's best not to panic, just wait a week and try again.

I wouldn't worry about it quite yet. If you start changing things you might make the problem worse. Like said, it might be in a shed cycle. Wait and try again a few times.

Same answer. Just wanted to say good luck and don't feed live mice unless absolutly necessary. I have one that didn,t eat for eight weeks and now he won't take thawed mice no matter what I do. Anyway, enough rambling.

Don't give up!!!
