Bought some at home depot, in the glass cutting section, yesterday. They were about $9 for a 6' section. I had to ask because they were kinda hidden along the shelves.

I found them at home depot as well, but they were in the window and door section. No one there had any clue what I was talking about when I asked so I had to search the whole store. If you go find a picture online and print it out.

Good luck.

neither had them. I talked with the manager and everything. I also went to a glass place with no success. I'm gonna check lowes, but if that fails i'll buy the tan ones online. Can you paint plastic well enough that it will not peal off?

i dont know if these seems too obvious or what, but just a thought. if glass is going to be in the runner you really dont want to paint the inside(will bind, stick, etc.), and at the same you're really not going to see much of the inside color so if you're worried about color matching i'd just paint the outside. not sure what kind of paint would be appropriate/inappropriate, but i'd think any of them would be just fine.... just some thoughts.

I recently saw some primer at Lowes that was made specifically for plastic. I think the brand was Rustoleum. It's supposed to be good for outdoor plastic furniture and kids toys so I would imagine that it's pretty durable, but I haven't actually used it myself. Might be worth a shot.

rustoleum is very durable. I dont think it ever comes off.

if you can see what is in it you can make sure it isn't poisonous or anything. When i was painting my grandparents furniture it didn't seem to smelly.

Sometimes you can find what you need & sometimes you are outta luck! Did you try www.doitbest.com? Look up "glass track" & you should get a hit. Good luck.

beakgeek Apr 09, 2004 08:23 AM

Doitbest has them online, but that does not mean they are in stock in a local store. I checked two of them in Minneapolis and neither had the plastic tracks.
