Hi Guys,

On Tuesday night, I put meego to bed at the same time as I do every night, and when my husband went back an hour later to check on him, he had disappeared! There is a slim to none chance that he managed to get outside, but I have literally turned my house upside down looking for him, and have come up with nothing!!
Does anyone know of a way to "lure" him out of his hiding spot??? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Have already tried putting a bowl of water in the middle of the floor (the dogs drank it!!) and short of leaving dead mice everywhere.....well, you know.

You can check rom by room (keep the dogs out) by placing bait (favorite food) in the middle of the room and then put flour or baby powder on the floor so you can see tracks. Tegus are good at hiding in very small places. They can stay hidden for long periods of time as well. They are not generally climbers so look under everything and in anything. Good luck.

Good News!!

We found him this afternoon, in the one place that I have checked three times already! He isnt any worse for ware, in fact he is doing his signature eyore look, as if saying "what are you freaking out about??"

Going to be tightening the free roaming for a while..
