I have never had a problem with Black Knight, and I've sprayed it directly on animals. On the other hand I followed the instructions to the letter with a can of provent a mite and had a juvenile Macklots python develop neurological problems from the treatment. I have also heard of others having this problem. It's fine if someone prefers one aerosol over the other, but personal preference aside, how do you come to the conclusion that provent a mite is safer and better? Have you personally used both and had a negative outcome with Black Knight? If so, I'd like to hear about it for my own personal knowledge. Maybe it's something those of us using Black Knight should know about. By my own personal use, I discovered Black Knight will actually perform as a preventative, just as Provent a mite claims to do. So, in my own experience with BOTH products I chose Black Knight. But, I don't proclaim without apparent reasoning that it is safer and better than any other. Looking forward to your reply, take care!

Well Paul, first off I am not sure if you are aware of it but it is illegal to sell Black Knight for any purpose other then stated on the can. Secondly, I have had negative effects from using Black Death, oh I mean Black Knight but then again it must have been just me......You prefer Black Knight, I prefer Provent a Mite.....but, if you really want to get a true break down on Black night I would suggest contacting Bob Pound from http://www.pro-products.com
As I am sure he would be more then willing to give you the specifics!

I personally have used Provent-A-Mite and Black Knight, besides all the older methods, and find Black Knight much better in every way.

It seems as though some certain company could not handle the copetition, and now a judge has ruled they can not sell Black night right now.

Has anybody here tried the "Nix" approach when it comes to mites?
Which would be safer for my snakes? (I have a boa, 2 B.P.'s, and a corn)

Thanks so much for the help.
