carpet question..

Is it safe to put a heating pad underneath reptile carpet?

I don't think it matters but don't know for sure. I never use it I hate the stuff..lol you should put the heat pads on the outside. I guess that's something I forgot to specify in that drawing..i knew i was gonna forget something..lol

lol yeah i knew that i've had snakes for as long as i can remember i've just never used the carpet before.. and i probably won't lol. thanks tho

Your heating pad should go on the outside bottom of the cage. With it in the cage, there is the possibility of your BP getting under the carpet and coming into direct contact with the heating pad. If the heating pad were to spike in temps that could be dangerous. I love carpet - looks great and easy to clean.

Yeah haha i definitely wasn't going to put it on the inside i was just making sure it wouldn't be too hot going throught the bottom.. Gotcha thOo! Very attractive setup.. -sophia

Thank you - the picture isn't a good one. I actually did some redecorating this weekend and it now looks even better. I really love the way my BP looks against the green carpet/background, etc. Seems to bring out his colors.

I agree whole heartedly with tigergenisis.. put your heat pad under the tank...I use one large one on the hot side and one small one on the cool...works very well for max.
