sleep-swimming?

xx_judas_xx Apr 08, 2004 06:39 PM

I often find my dragon in its pool, with its nostriles submerged, for what seems to me like a long time (I don't know how long it was like that before I found it). When this happens I "rescue" my dragon by removing it from the water and placing it on its substrate.

Is my dragon's behaivior atypical?
Is my dragon in danger?

Just let him be, they can stay underwater for hours. That is a defense mechanism, if they get scared by something they dive underwater and pretend to be dead. They will not drown unless they have no way to get out.

yeah, my water dragon has slept underwater like that a few times too, it was always when he had just started shedding though. but he was always fine when he woke up.
