What are the chances??!!

I just got home from the pet store after trying to get dome rats for my BP'S, they were out but I did get food for my BRB.
Now to the "topic" at hand, the Owner told me that while he was in Arizona he went into a pet store and was looking around at the different snakes, when he came upon tanks with "Normal" Ball Pythons and Albino Burmese Pythons (Hatchlings I think) he noticed that the tank with the Albino Burmese's had quite a small Albino tank mate.......
Low and behold, in a tank with a $250.00 price tag sat a 8 inch, Female, Albino Ball Python!!!!!! Best believe he bought it!
I am so jealous!! He is a great guy and honest as they come. So, does anyone know of any other "Great Finds"??

And we all thought J.Lo's mother was lucky, eh?

Congrats to him!

was it one of the pro reptile stores in phoenix? just wondering, cause they are great stores and that would suprise me that they wouldn't know what they had.

of course a real "honest" person might have told them the truth about the snake. but I doubt there are very many people in the world who would.

I agree, BUT, I feel its up to the owner of the pet store that it was found at, to at least know the difference between a Burmese and a Ball Python, and to know your own inventory. I know I wouldn't make that kind of mistake! It wasn't a "big" pet store.

one time.....here at a little pet shop.....same kinds thing....I was looking at the guppy tanks.....and a guy says....."you should see the one that lady just bought"....I went and looked into her bags....wow.....a baby mermaid..(and a blonde no less)........what are the odds....and she wouldn't sell it to me for $1.298 either..........

I figured thats what you meant. I apologize again. Really bad day.
I don't blame you for not believeing it. It really is hard to believe.

I am sorry, but like it was mentioned, I do not believe it at all.
I will add to my thoughts after I get the answer.

I really just meant for this to be a story to share. I am just telling what I heard. All I know is that is was in the state of AZ. I didn't ask what city because I live in Northern California so the city didn't matter to me. When I go in to pick up rats I will be sure to ask him the city. He just described it as a Normal pet store, mainly specializing in Colubrids if I remember correctly. Sorry I didn't ask for more info.

Surely you meant 18"? I've never seen a hatchling smaller than 12", and that was a rather small one.

Really....he did say that....

balldude Apr 11, 2004 09:07 PM

Try maybe baby corn snake.....and if it is a ball python i feel sorry for him because he bought an extremely under sized runt that will likely have several health problems. Sorry man your story smells a funk. Brian
