hey guys
do lizards completely bury themselves when they are laying eggs? because i cannot find my pregnant lizard anywhere in the cage so i thought she may have buried herself in the box of sand that i made for her but i don't want to stick my hand in there and mess anythng up. if she is laying eggs how long will she be in there for? and the top of the sand is dry but i can see water drops on the clear plastic sides down in the sand. do you think she has enough moisture or should i add a little water to the top? i cannot see her through the clear sides but there is no way to escape from the cage because it zips shut. she is a smart lizard but she is not that smart.

I don't like to see it soupy, or with standing water. If I see too much condensation on the sides of the deli cup with eggs, I will cut a bigger hole, or put more small holes in the deli lid...you don't want condensation dripping on the eggs.

Sounds like she may be getting really close! Sometimes they will emerge in a few hours, other times, they may still in there a day or two...you will see they are very skinny when they come out.

Best of luck,

well i think the sand is moist enough because i finally found out where she was in the box (i did not think the check the bottom of the CLEAR box, only the sides ha ha) so i stuck my finger down in there on the side she was not in. its a pretty big box. but she will be fine down in that sand with out holes? that just makes me claustrophobic
