I am starting to setup a tiger salamander setup in a 30G breeder aqarium. I was wondering if I could get some pointers on how to set it up, what to put in it, and stuff like that. Pics would also help a lot. thanx

Ok your 30 breeder sounds great. You should fit at least 2 tigers in it comfortably. I would reccommed that you set it up with the following.
1. a layer of cypress mulch or comparable substrate I.e. bed-a-beast. Just make sure that you avoid pine or cedar mulch and anything with colors, fertilizers, pesticides etc. This shoud be a few inches deep to allow for burrowing. Keep it moist at all times but not saturated. I.e mist twice a day or so. Spot clean often and change it every few weeks or so to prevent mold.
2. Get a hold of some cork bark tubes or flats. These make excellent hiding places and look pretty snappy too. Make sure that you have ample spots for them to hide in. drift wood works well too.
3. I like to provide a shallow dish for my salamanders to soak in. This isn't required per se, but mine seem to enjoy it.
4. If you want to add live plants try pothos as it grows in almost anything and needs little light.
5. Make sure that the enclosure is cool and out of direct sunlight. the temp should not rise above 70 as a general rule as this will cause them to stress
6. keep it simple really a good substrate and hiding places are all you need.
