If she’s a sub-adult, I’d let her eat until she is full, then remove any crix she hasn’t eaten. Full grow adults or overweight geckos don’t need much more then 4 crix a day. I’ve had very good luck leaving a small dish of mealworms in their cage at all times, and feeding crix more as treats.

I dont know the age of mine, he's about 4 inch. But as i said in an earlier post, mine eat about 8 crix a day ! Small and medium crix. I feel like i'm always at the pet shop buying more crix , lol. I stop at 8 crix, but i'm thinking that he may even eat one or two more....I give him the crix one at a time and it's fun to see him chase them around shaking his tail...and it also give him some exercise, lol.

If your leo is only 4 inches, then he’s got quite a bit of growing to do. I’d recommend you keep feeding 8 crix a day until he reaches 7-8 inches. I’ve noticed my geckos have different metabolisms, just like people, and I try to feed them accordingly. Some will eat only sparingly and pack on the ounces; others could eat all day and not show much signs of doing so. It’s good that you give him a bit of exercise, it will keep him happy and healthy. And I agree, it’s a lot of fun to watch them hunt down and pounce on the crix. Good luck!
