Outdoor cages for monitors

forsakened Apr 08, 2004 11:46 PM

Currently, I have a pair of Timor Monitors. I want them to be cycled properly so I will have the best chance of successfull breeding. So would it be best to put them outside? I live in Jacksonville Florida, and Im pretty sure they would be able to handle the range or temperatures.

Let me know what you guys think, Im open to all suggestions.

Lucky duck, that's what I think. If I put my Timors outside I'd have varanusicles.
There's a monitor book that actually describes an outdoor Timor setup in Florida. It's a paperback with a blue border, I think it's by Bartlett.

I'd make it an outdoorindoor if I were you. Jacksonville is practically Georgia. The temps out there can go to the 30's easily in the winters, and be dry as well. Give them the indoor part where they have access to high temps and humidity if they choose.

Well an indoor/outdoor would be ideal, but very difficult. Im only 15, so I dont think my parents would be to fond of me messing up their house. If anyone has actual plans then email me at liv2surf34@aol.com.

But I might not even need to build a cage because as of now, I cant even find them. There is a thread a few up from this one explaining it.
