Now she's eating and not using her laying box......

I'm wondering if maybe my MUGH female Brooski is just fat. Last week she ate two adult mice. She isn't staying in her moist laying box and it has been 41 days since the first breeding. I held her this week for several minutes and still unable to feel any eggs. I'll be so disappointed if she doesn't lay any eggs. This is such a long process and my hopes have been so high. Does this behavior seem completely wrong for a gravid female?

i have been out of this for awhile but i have a very nice eastern king that is obviously gravid. i even brought her over to Phil Buscher to have him take a look. 99% sure she is gravid.

she just shed and now she wants no part of her egg laying box. she even ate two small ft mice last night.

Don't worry about this - Phil relayed to me that he has had colubrids eat the day before they laid eggs.

I put my eastern back with my male and he acts interested but she does not. this is markedly different from when i watched them mate - that time, as soon as they were introduced, she started twitching alongside him and was raising her tail.

probably we will both be sitting on eggs in a couple of weeks and then we will be worrying for that entire 60 days!!!!
