Poultry A/V

psilocybe Apr 09, 2004 10:33 AM

I remember hearing a while ago (a few years maybe) about tests being done injecting chicken eggs with snake venom, and then extracting the antibodies to create an A/V...it's thought to be safer and more effective because much fewer people are allergic or sensitive to chickens than to horses...Supposedly the research was looking promising ( i believe there were a few countries testing this), and of course the cost would be cheaper as it is much easier to innoculate 100,000 chicken eggs than it is to innoculate 100,000 horses. Anyone else know about this who would like to shed some light on it?

Unfortunately, I can't shed any light on this topic. But I can say that I have also read a blurb stating exactly what you posted. Try posting on some other forums.
