The 3 main pigments in a corn snake are Melanin (black pigment), Erythrin (red pigment), and Xanthin (yellow pigment). Am I correct? If this is true, and Amelanistic is a lack of black pigment and anerythristic is a lack of red pigment, then Axanthic should be the lack of yellow pigment, correct? Is there such a thing as an Axanthic corn snake? Just a thought. Replies appreciated.
