Last night my gal pal (she works at a pet store) brought over a MHD that just came into the store. A beautiful dragon. showing his yellows and blues on his legs. All his horns are in tact. She was sure it was a female for my Casper. NOT!
A Beautiful boy!
I couldn't let her take him back!!
So I have him in a small 10ga. next to Caspers 55gal. They are swearing at each other all ready!
I was not planning on another male. So now I need another big tank!
Would love to put them together after Sabbie's quarentine...but I can tell they hate each other!
LOL!

I have Casper almost 3 mo. He is full grown. The size of your gal.
The new male, Sabbie, is about the same size.
We should get together!!
My boys and your girls!

Hopefully I will be able to get a gal in the future!

I don't count my females until they lay eggs!

I have sold babies that I would swear were females just to have the tail develop a nice bulge after the sale. On the other hand, males that look like male as babies just seem to become larger males! And believe me, some are really larger than others!

Now I have my A. armata pair and the male is green and the female is brown but looking at the tails I would swear they were both females so I am guessing that they will be harder to sex as youngsters unless they develop color at a younger age.

Anyway, congrats to both of you one your new boys and definitely don't put two adult males together!

No problem there!
Casper was being so agressive tru the glass tanks I had to move Sabbie's tank. He was being dominated even tho the glass was there!

It's really funny how much different the individuals can be. I have a couple of male who are very dominent and I have even had to seperate them from the females due to aggressive behavior even outside of their mating season. Others tho just don't seem to be bothered by anything and seem to be more submissive.

I have 4 males right now and two are puppy dog tame while the other two claw and try to get away when I handle them. Its just like any other animal, they set up a pecking order and each has its own temperament and personality.
