chinoloco36 Apr 09, 2004 01:55 PM

Hi everyone. I have a hatchling snakeneck turtle and there are some green algae growing on the legs and neck. I know that it is normal for algae to grow on the shell sometimes but THE SKIN?? Is this something I should be concerned of? Please let me know. I would appreciate it very much!

Nothing to worry over. Do you have a basking area for him? Usually they will dry out on the basking area the the algae on the skin will slough off. It should pose no real threat.
