2 together?????

nikon Apr 09, 2004 03:08 PM

I am going to a rep show in Manchvegas NH this weekend and wifey really wants another Uro. She loves Nona and we now have the 4x2x2 cage built. Regal Reptiles will be at the show and that's where Nona came from (they good peeps) so we were thinking of another hatchling.... What are your thoughts on this? Good/Bad idea to have 2 hatchlings together? Good now and bad later?

I would like to get another Geyri (yellow) to match Nona (he is CB) but what about mixing? We would not do this unless everything worked out well/right but I do want to get thoughts before I go down. THanks all

I heard that since they're naturally territorial, you should introduce two to the same enclosure at the same time. Good luck with them.

I personally have not ever had geris, but have put many others together. Personally from my own experiences you will want to put only opposite sexes together (and thats with any breed). So many of the uros just dont get along with same sex's together. I would also ask the breeder for one that maybe is already been socialized with others and that is ok with it. They should have some idea of a few to recommend. (if not..I would maybe not go with this breeder!)

Once home, you will want to introduce them by totally redoing your enclosure by rearranging it. Then put both together in at the same time..even seperate ends..so that they can naturally meet without one feeling dominant over his "domain".

Good luck! Hope it all works well and you find a good match!
