rattlers rattlers everywhere

dookie28 Apr 09, 2004 04:43 PM

I am mountain biker who lives in Riverside Ca, and I just want to mention at how often I run across rattlers while riding. Its kind of a scary thing. Ive come so close so many times in the last 3yrs to a large, coiled, rattler.
Good thing we have Sean Bush and the venom e.r. I think the number of snake bite victims is going to increase tremendously. Cant blame the snakes though. Urbanization is pushing people, and snakes into smaller areas. I went through my whole childhood without every seeing a rattler, and until about 3yrs ago I only saw them on a rare occasion. Now everytime I go out I see one, and sometimes 2 within an hour.
