My husband picked up a few toads the other day from our local pet store. When he brought them home I noticed that one of them was one that had been there for a few months. When it had first arrived at the store just after Christmas, it had one light brown spot on it's side. I didn't get it because of that. I asked the guy at the pet store what it was and he said it was just a sore.
Now, my husband doesn't know much about these toads, he just got them for me as a nice surprise, but I recognized the toad right away but it had more brown on it's other side and around it's eyes too. What is this and what can be done about it. I realize this toad has to be secluded from the others, which has already been done, but he can't stay in this plastic holder forever.
Should I bring him to the vet to be euthanized?
Somebody please help!!
