Hello all, I was handed more petco reject frogs and I need help IDing them.. They are both treefrogs, but totally different. The petco manager just called them common tree frogs...dope..
Mystery Frog #1 - This frog is about the size of a nickel, cream white/beige color on back. It has no noticable markings, like spots or stripes. Its belly and feet are a blood-red..no injury or disease, just its color.. It has a very thin waist and kind of reminds me of the leaf frogs(red-eye type) But it also has the shape and look of a very young cuban tree frog, but does not match color in any way.

Mystery frog #2 - This frog is half the size as the first(about dime size). It is brownish black with very distinct markings. The spot or circle are on the face, and each of the hip/top of legs. The spots are a darker brown than body and have white circles around them..each marking is encircled by white. Its feet are webbed.. I think. More than the first frog. And it tends to fold itself up into a very tiny spot on top of the leaf.. which is a different behavior than I have seen in other frogs.
I know this is not very good discription to go on, and I will try to get someone with a zoom lens to get photos of them.. I would very much like to know what they are. If only to give proper care. I have no idea if these frogs are babies or just tiny creatures.
Right now, they are in a 10 gal tank with the standard treefrog setup.. with pinhead crickets running all over. But I have yet to see them eat.. or move for that matter.
Any help is greatly appreiciated.. Anything.. Hints, webpages to look at, books to check out... will help big time... I will be posting this question in many different places. There has got to be a list of animals that are in the US pet rade...right??
Thank again,
Billie
